We Made It Home Safely From Our Trip To NC

Well we made it home from our trip safely this morning, after driving 20 hours, and when we got here we were blessed with power! All the stores that we drove by this morning were out of power, so I guess we were really blessed. When we arrived the house was 45 degrees! Now its up to 55, wow:) Its hard to believe we already have snow.

OK enough pointless talk about the weather. We had a wonderful time of learning and fellowship this past week. The teaching was awesome, I would encourage you all to buy the cds or mp3s from the Gospel Centered Marriages Conference, you can by them at www.ncfic.org

We went to NH with my dad's brother and his wife a few weeks ago. We saw the Flume, Mt. Washington, what's left of Old Man on the Mt., and some other things. (For some reason I can't see the pictures right now, so I can't describe them, sorry.)

A Wonderful Lord's Day

Stephanie and Tabitha Mello.

We've had a lot of fun with the Mello's and Barton's the past two weeks. Last night they and the Bartons came to our house at 11:30pm and got back at Seth for all the jokes he's played on them, by wrapping his car TP. He looked out the window this morning, saw what they did, and laughed:)

My favorite niece. (She will be my favorite until I get another:).

We have lunch with the church every week, and always have great fellowship.

The Batons and Mello's have been up from MA for over a week, so we've spent a lot of time with them.

We really enjoyed racing around the island that they're staying on in boats. We flipped the kayaks a lot.

Saturday evening we went to a music store near the Rockland Breakwater. When the music store closed we decided to go to the breakwater. We didn't go all the way to the lighthouse though.

The breakwater is 1/2 a mile long.

We didn't know what we were going to do today, this morning, but as we were discussing it my aunt called and invited us to a watercraft race competition thing (I wont explain, it would take to long:), we decided to go and proceeded to make our rather strange craft.

Part 3 Tuesday at Family Camp

Lot's of fish were caught this year.

Swimming was a big part of camp this year for the young ones, in the past it has been too cold to really enjoy it; but this year we had so many people praying for good weather and God granted it. It was 80's pretty much all week. We were so thankful.

Part 2 - Monday at Family Camp

This was the first full day at PR, it is always very eventful. With all the games and team work, it really helps people to get to know each other.

I love this picture with Marshall helping Daddy. Marshall and Titus are best friends.

I think Marshall's a little young for three-legged race, but it was worth a try anyway.

Just after I took this pic a lot of them tumbled over, and I missed it!

This was funny, everyone had to hop to the finish line without dropping the balloon.

So cute.

This is a hard one, we had to lay on the ground, put the spoon in our mouth, scoop only one jellybean, get up, and walk back to the starting line without dropping the jellybean.

Some went faster than others.

Try to pick up a toothpick with an oven mitt, its difficult.

passing water in a cup through a line of people young and older leaves you with practically nothing at the end.

It was so hot that after the relays with water, dad and Shay threw a bucket of water on me; that was the beginning of a really fun water fight.

Pilgrims Rest Part 1

The thursday before camp our family set the tent up that we would be meeting in, it was an army tent that none of us had ever set up before but it went up pretty quickly (45 min.).

Friday we went up to the grounds and mowed, set up ping pong and foose ball, got all of our stuff settled in.

Saturday we put up a volleyball net and badmitten net, wired the tent and got everything ready, then most of the families arived.

Sunday, we had our normal worship service at the meeting house.

Then everyone came back to camp for a baptism.

It was wonderful to hear people's testimonies.

Pilgrims Rest 2011

Oh wow, family camp is in a week and a half! We are both exited and a little nervous. It is much more of a challenge to plan camp for 90 people, where in the past it has only been 45.

It has been raining for what seems 2 weeks; but it cleared off yesterday and today. We are praying camp will be nice and warm, but the forecast doesn't look that great.

We had a concert Sunday, it came off fairly well surprisingly seeing how we haven't done a concert since January, and Lance was sick and couldn't make it.

Please pray for Lance to get better soon, working nights for 18 weeks has been hard on him.

He's been saying he's 2 for a month now but today he is two. We thank the Lord for him. He is such a blessing. He loves his brother and his brother loves him, sometimes they lay on the floor and laugh at each other.

There is yet a third child to be added to this family!! We are so blessed to have such a fast growing family.

Well, there really isn't much to update other than we have a full house here. We currently have another family living with us.

We went to Canada last weekend for my grandmothers 80th birthday.

Lance and Hannah are moving to a knew apartment soon. She is doing well.

Hello from a long absence. Hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating the birth of Christ, we certainly did. Because of the way blogger works All the pictures are backwards, so you can start at the bottom if you want:)

New York city. We decided to drive back through it, it wasn't bad cause it was 2:00 PM. We saw the statue of liberty from a distance.

The main sessions were held in this building. It snowed while we were down there, I think we brought the Maine weather with us.

We stayed in the upstairs of this building.

The Lapore's were there as well. This is Joshua.

We are currently in Pennsylvania spending the night at a motel. We spent the night in New York last night and went to the Martin guitar factory today and got a free guided tour, that was very cool. I will try to put pictures on later.

Tomorrow we decided to go to Sight and Sound theatrical show instead of DC; dad and mom didn't like the idea of driving in that city, so this sounded better; actually it's more complicated than that but I don't want to explain it.

We are at BBBC, we just had a baptism, now all the girls are standing around practicing a song for our Christmas eve service. Later we are doing a concert here, so we have to hang around here for three hours.

Next Monday we are leaving for North Carolina! :)

This past Friday we drove to Canada for my cousin Matt's wedding.

Saturday after the wedding we drove home, it was snowing really bad, we almost turned around and went back because dad couldn't see the road. Praise God, 20 min. later it stopped and cleared up. So we made it home anyway.

The picture above is my other cousin Tim who is engaged to be married in August, Matt and Malissa.

The wedding went well, very well organized.

The Past Few Day's

Saturday we finished all our wood!!!!!!!!
Sunday we did a concert, I didn't get pictures.

Today us girls went to the Barton's and picked carrots and tomato's, thank you Barton's.
Then we went and got apples. When we got home we canned the carrots and froze the apples, so we've been busy.
Tonight dad read to us and presently we are watching Rushdoony.

Josiah and Kayla took charge of it this year, it's always nice when someone else does something you don't have to worry about.

We always have a lot of fun after concerts with his church. So here are some of the things we did.

Our Weekend in Fort Fairfield

First of all, we are pleased to announce the engagement of Lance and Hannah!!!!!!!!

After 5 months of courtship they are now engaged to be married hopefully in October.

The sunsets on the festival grounds were incredible.

As Shay already stated on her blog, this is uncle Dwayne, aunt Janice and Grammy Helen.

We were also very excited to spend some time with the MacDonald's who we haven't seen for about 2 years.

We went up there Friday night and got there at eleven, our pore dog got sprayed by a skunk and had to sleep outside while we stayed in a trailer. We went to bed at about twelve ( on the floor in sleeping bags) Shay woke me up at 4:30 and I couldn't go back to sleep so I got up at 6:00.

Then we played with the MacDonald's. At 9:00 there was a crazy downpour but after that the rain held off till Sunday night when all our outdoor concerts were finished, praise the LORD.

The festival went well, though we played with the MacDonald's most of the time. After the festival we went swimming in a dirty river.

That night we were able to stay in a camper, well the boys still had to stay in the trailer on the floor.

Sunday we sang in a gazebo.

We were judged by many things like sportsmanship, creativity, detail, size and the like on a scale of 1-5. Believe it or not we actually came out even.

Horseshoe crabs and jellyfish

A week and a half ago we went to the beach with my aunt and her kids, to see horseshoe crabs.

We also saw lots of jellyfish, and held them.

I don't know whats with us and not seeing signs till it's too late; but when we were about to leave I found a sign that says "PLEASE DO NOT HOLD CRABS".

Though it said nothing about holding jellyfish.

A big jellyfish shay was holding.

Camping/Fishing Trip

We went up to Moose Head Sunday to camp over and fish.

We arrived at 9:30pm but it took awhile to find a campsite along the river that was available; but finally we found one. We found out in the morning why it was available, it was because there was a sign on a tree that said NO CAMPING. But it was so dark that we couldn't see it, which actually turned out to be a blessing!

It was a perfect camping site, I don't know why they wont allow people to camp there.None of us got much sleep cause it was so cold we all nearly froze to death. It was 37 degrees.
Shay forgot her sleeping bag so she had to use life jackets and towels!! Believe it or not she was the warmest of all.

Day at the Ocean

Saturday we went to the ocean for Reere's b-day with most of the family.Digging a hole.

Happy 1st Birthday Marshall

A year ago today, a little but huge gift from God came into this world.

A horrible thought is that this little boy could have had his life taken away if that is what Kayla had chosen. They say it's about choice, but what about the baby? I'm sure they would not choose death.

If that had been the case, so many would have missed this huge blessing that he has brought into our lives.
It is amazing that no matter how upset you are, if a baby smiles at you, it is almost impossible to resist smiling back.

We love you so much Marshall Philip!

Turkey Hunt

Thursday morning Lance took John turkey hunting.

It was the first time either of them had ever been,

they only had an hour and a half to hunt,

and John had never shot a gun before.

Lance called it in and John shot and hit!!

Saturday Seth went out and got one too.

Resurrection Day

I woke up to a beautiful sunrise and had to take a picture.

We arrived at the Meeting House and mom quickly found Marshall.

Fish

Last night Seth went fishing and caught a 16" brook trout.

Usually we can't fish until April 1st, but the Governor signed a bill that you can fish now because the ice went out so early.

This morning Lance, Seth and shay went fishing, shay came back early so she didn't get any fish but when Lance and Seth came back later they brought back two rainbow trout

Beauty! 16 1/2" Rainbow Trout. Yummmmmmmmmy!

Baby Bunnies
